Affiliated student organizations, registered student organizations, club sports, fraternities, sororities, and student media organizations (per Student Handbook, Part 5, Chapter 1), and university departments are permitted to hang banners in the Armstrong Student Center. There are 10 designated banner spaces in Armstrong, all located in the Armstrong Student Center Atrium.
Banner Reservations
Banner space can be reserved through 25Live as a way to advertise an event open to the entire campus.
Banner space can be reserved through 25Live for a maximum of one week (7 consecutive days Monday-Sunday) per event.
Banners must be approved by the Armstrong Student Center before the banner reservation is confirmed.
Banners must be dropped off before 2 p.m. on Friday in the Armstrong Administration Suite (ASC 3012). Banners will be changed out on Monday mornings.
Banners will be taken down and returned to the Armstrong Student Center Administration Suite after the reservation has ended. Banners must be picked up within 7 days of the reservation ending.
The Armstrong Student Center is not responsible for any lost or stolen banners.
As outlined in part 5, chapter 7 of the Student Handbook, banners may not advertise alcoholic beverage or tobacco consumption, promote commercial activity of any person or entity other than a student organization, and are subject to all applicable state and federal laws – including libel laws.
All banners are subject to applicable university policies, including the policy prohibiting harassment and discrimination.
The requesting organization is responsible for making the banner.
Banners must be made in a square or rectangular shape, and may not exceed 70 inches in width and 100 inches in length (twin sized flat bed sheets are the ideal size). Banners should also have appropriate grommets/holes to hang the banner from a railing.
Banners must list the sponsoring organization, time, date, name and place of event. Banners may promote awareness weeks, but must include the date range for the awareness week.
Banners may not use decorative materials (glitter, sequin, yarn, etc.) or other materials that require being affixed to the banner.
Any exceptions to this policy will be made by the Armstrong Student Center Assistant Director for Student Engagement.
Paper Flyers
Affiliated student organizations, registered student organizations, club sports, fraternities, sororities, and student media organizations (per Student Handbook, Part 5, Chapter 1) are permitted to hang flyers in the Armstrong Student Center. There are 8 reservable spots for flyers that will be hung in 4 locations across the building.
Flyer space can be reserved through 25Live as a way to advertise an event open to the entire campus.
Flyer space can be reserved through 25Live for a maximum of one week (7 consecutive days Monday-Sunday) per event.
Student Organizations are permitted 2 weeks a semester to hang flyers.
The Armstrong Student Center must approve flyer designs before the flyer reservation is confirmed. When making the reservation, please submit a photo in 25Live. This can be done by copying and pasting a copy of the design into the “Description” section of the 25Live event form.
Once approved, four printed copies of the flyer must be dropped off to the ASC Administrative Suite (ASC 3012) by noon on the Friday before the reservation begins. Flyers will be hung on Monday mornings.
Flyers will be taken down and recycled at the end of the 7 days.

Horizontal Digital Ad Screens
The horizontal digital screens in Armstrong is a partnership between the Armstrong Student Center and Campus Services. There are 14 digital screen locations where your student organization or university department can advertise for upcoming events or services. Student Organizations can advertise events that are free and open to all on the Armstrong Student Center screens for free. There is a charge for departments to advertise. Find more information below!
Design Tips
Size of a half-screen ad is 960 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall (available to student organizations only)
Ads should be in a .jpg, .png, or .pdf format
Keep it simple. Double check for errors in spelling, grammar and quality of images
Design advertisements between 96 dpi and 300 dpi
Avoid using more than three fonts styles or font size smaller than 16 pt
Design to be eye-pleasing, eye-catching, and READABLE
Look before you submit! If your advertisement would not make you attend your event or sign up for your group, you may want to alter your advertisement
Advertisements not meeting basic design standards may be sent back to the individual/group submitting the advertisement for edits before resubmission
