Armstrong Student Center Board
Every Miami student contributes to the student center through the student center fee, making it essential that student voices help guide its operations, programming, and strategic direction. The board plays a pivotal role in shaping the student experience, ensuring that the center remains a welcoming, dynamic, and student-focused hub.
Leading this effort is the Armstrong Student Center Board, which was formed prior to the construction of the building in 2013. The advisory board consists of fifteen members. Appointed representatives from Associated Student Government (ASG), Miami Activities and Programming, and SEAL Ambassadors serve on the board along with at-large members serving two-year terms. At-large members typically are involved with various student organizations around campus since these groups are a core part of Armstrong’s student-centered mission.
The Armstrong Student Center and the student board would not have been possible without former ASG leaders who pushed for the building to become a reality, generous alumni contributions, and the support of many Miami University leaders.

- Graduating in May 2028 or later
- In good academic standing
- Open to graduate or undergraduate students on the Oxford campus
- The standing meeting time for the Armstrong Student Center Board is Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m. (biweekly). All members must be able to attend to serve on the board.
- Board members are expected to serve a two-year term.
Applications are due by Friday April 17, 2026. Eligible candidates will be invited to participate in a 15 minute interview. Notifications will be made on or before Friday, April 30, 2026.
