Job Summary:

Duties/Physical Demands:

You'll pursue the best solutions for the University as you delight our customers by:

Fulfilling the role of Scrum Master within projects (Agile and others).

Inspiring team members to achieve successful project completion with an emphasis on team and process improvement.

Promoting project/team planning and delivery activities, including backlog/scope definition and refinement, planning, estimation, reviews, retrospectives, and frequent stand-ups.

Managing project/team deliverables and ensures agreement to business portfolio(s) and shared outcomes.

Guiding project teams to achieve a self-organizing culture and a healthy conflict resolution process.

Providing coaching on Scrum framework (Agile, other), delivery practices and use of standard tools across the entire division.

Building on relationships with clients, managers and project teams to ensure team execution and delivery of committed work.

Guiding the division on continuous improvement of project delivery by assessing current state, recommending improvements, and guide the implementation of those improvements.

Providing Agile and other project methodology training to individuals and groups both inside and outside the organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field earned by date of hire and 3 or more years of relevant experience.

Formal training or certification(s) in project management techniques

Formal training or certification(s) in Scrum/Agile techniques and frameworks

 

Desired Qualifications:

As the Project Manager Specialist / Scrum Master reporting to the Director of Application Development, we are looking for you to have knowledge in:

Implementing Scrum/Agile principles, techniques and frameworks

In multiple software development lifecycle methodologies or Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP, SAFe, etc.)

Mentoring others in project management and Scrum/Agile principles, techniques and frameworks

Programming experience or demonstrated familiarity with the technical concepts and logic

Guiding others in proper methods to collaborate with and organizing multiple project teams throughout the entire project lifecycle to ensure success as defined by scope, budget, and timeline.
