Job Summary:

Student Building Managers ensure that our facility is clean, safe and that our patrons in the building feel welcome. Their primary responsibilities include doing rounds of the building ensuring the space is clean, checking on facility issues that need reporting, and helping our guests with any requests and questions they may have while utilizing our spaces. They must maintain a high quality of customer service for all students, staff and guests to Armstrong. Must be able to make independent decisions when full-time staff are not on site.

Work assignments require advanced knowledge, skills, or abilities.
Some independent judgment or initiative.
A considerable knowledge of the work process as obtained through on-the-job training.
May involve supervisory responsibilities for an activity of limited scope.
May require a significant amount of physical exertion, adverse hour, or working conditions.

Essential Duties:

* Supporting Event Production Team in providing event, furniture and A/V set-up and tear down.
* Supporting ASC Ambassadors working the information desk.
* Providing outstanding customer service to all users of the building.
* Ensuring a safe and clean environment. This does involve some cleaning.
* Taking the lead in emergency situations with the ability of acting calmly and efficiently.
* Providing security for the building by monitoring building use, locking and unlocking spaces as needed and reporting damage, custodial and maintenance issues.
* Conducting regular building rounds.
* Work assignments require advanced knowledge, skills, or abilities.
* Some independent judgment or initiative.
* A considerable knowledge of the work process as obtained through on-the-job training.
* May involve supervisory responsibilities for an activity of limited scope.
* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: Must sign confidentiality and employment agreements within one week of hiring
* Successful completion of training is required
* Must be able to lift 40 pounds
* One year full time enrollment on the Oxford campus required
* Knowledge of campus and student involvement preferred
