| Job Summary: |
Summer Camp Counselor for an overnight camp. Work assignments are completed under close supervision. Students will assist in organizing, leading, and mentoring youth equestrian riders throughout their attendance at the Equestrian Camp. Some counselors will be on-call overnight. Room and board offered to counselors.

| Essential Duties: |
Ensure campers reach camp activities on schedule.
Closely supervise, mentor, and lead campers through team building and barn activities while also actively participating themselves.
Assist with daily camp reporting, attend daily counselor meetings, and be a liaison between camp participants and Senior Equestrian staff.
Ensure a welcoming, safe, healthy, and supervised environment for all youth participants.
Represent Miami University in Love and Honor.

| Minimum Qualifications: |
Knowledge of Miami Equestrian Policies and Procedures and barn procedures.
Ability to demonstrate and supervise grooming, tacking, stall cleaning, horse care, and tack maintenance to riders with varying backgrounds.
Relevant background and experience in Equestrian competition and sport.
Ability to multitask as well as work quickly and accurately.
Candidates recommended for hire must pass a State of Ohio fingerprint background check.
