Student Assistant - Alumni Weekend 2024

Salary/Grade:

$11.30 - $12.30 / hr

Hours per week:

Up to 40 hours

Duration of Appointment:

June 5th-9th (Alumni Weekend June 7-8)

Job Summary:

Alumni Weekend is an annual summer gathering that brings together Miami alumni and friends of all ages and class years. Student staff in this position will work with University Advancement to prepare and execute Alumni Weekend.

Essential Duties:

Duties include set up and tear down for displays/events, material delivery around campus,
golf cart transportation service, welcoming guests and providing information, ticket taking, parade assistance and other miscellaneous tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires superb customer service skills and attention to detail. Must work well within a team atmosphere and be able to complete projects and problem-solve independently. Also requires knowledge of university buildings/landmarks and Miami history and traditions. Must possess a valid driver's license and must be registered for the current or upcoming term (summer or fall semester and in a degree-seeking program) to be eligible to work as a student employee.
