Job Summary:

International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) is seeking a dedicated, creative and organized student to work on programs that support and engage Miami's international population and the campus community. Position starts in August 2024.

Essential Duties:

Assist with Pre semester ISSS orientation in August 2024.
Staff and check in new students in the International Student Center (ISC)
Welcome and direct visitors around the ISC
Assist with planning and implementation of ISSS programs, orientation, and events
Help maintain data spreadsheets, notes, communications and other documents related to programs and events
Set up, staff, and break down ISSS programs and events
Various other administrative support tasks as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Enrolled full-time at Miami University as an undergraduate or graduate student
Must be able to work independently
Professional demeanor, positive attitude and willingness to learn
Familiarity with campus resources, departments, offices, services, etc.
Comfortable communicating with multilingual students and scholars from all over the world
positive attitude and eager to learn
Cultural sensitivity in working with students from diverse backgrounds
Comfortable with a variety of computer systems and technologies
Ability to think fast and problem solve during challenging situations
Ability to work evenings and weekends
