Job Summary:

Digital Team Content Intern is part of the University Communications and Marketing
(UCM) team that supports Miami University’s messaging and visual identity strategies that are compelling and consistent across all communication outlets to increase awareness, build
audience engagement, and drive enrollment. As part of the digital marketing team in UCM, you
will work in a fast-paced, ever-changing digital environment where we build relationships and influence key strategies across the organization.

Students will be expected to work a minimum number of hours during the academic year.
Hours:
Academic Year - Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours per week
Summer, holiday, and break availability are a plus but not required.

Essential Duties:

- Report to the Associate Director of Social Media.

- Create engaging videos for Instagram Reels and TikTok.

- Write copy to assist in the completion of a monthly content calendar.

- Research trends and social media best practices.

- Save audios on various platforms for video use.

- Collaborate with other students to gather User Generated Content (UGC).

- Work with the Social Media Marketing Specialist to create content that brings in positive sentiment.

Minimum Qualifications:

Internship or experience in social media, communications, marketing, or a similar field.
Sensitive to cultural diversity and ability to communicate and interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Accuracy, dependability, and confidentiality are critical.
Ability to meet expectations in a fast-paced and dynamic, customer-oriented environment.
Be able to work independently, possess good organization skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

Flexibility to create content in the evenings or on weekends if needed.
Experience in managing business social media accounts is preferred but not required.
Undergraduate student at Miami University with a focus in marketing, communications, or a similar field.
In good academic standing.
Committed to working summer terms.
College work-study eligibility.
