Climbing Wall Attendant 2023 - Student Assistant


$11.30 - $12.30 / hr

Job Summary:

Works directly with patrons in customer service role with consistent presence while monitoring safety and proper use of the Climbing Center. Must have skills and knowledge or willingness to practice and learn about the sport of rock climbing.

Essential Duties:

- Supervise and maintain Climbing Wall Safety, enforcing climbing center policies, and keep all
climbing wall areas clean and organized.
- Administer quality belay testing
- Provide Staff belays for patrons
- Operating Cash Register
- Handling of Rental Climbing Equipment and proper fitting patrons with climbing shoes and
-Inform patrons of upcoming activities at the Climbing Wall and Outdoor Pursuit Center
- Attend Rental Staff and OPC All Staff meetings

Minimum Qualifications:

- Must have or be able to obtain belay certification at Miami Rec Center Climbing Wall
- Current CPR, First-Aid and Bloodborne Certifications or obtain within 30 days of hire
