Job Summary: |
Assist Dr. Meenakshi (Meena) Narayan and other Engineering Technology faculty in designing and building robotic systems for industrial and medical applications through prototype planning, equipment selection and purchase, designing/assembling electrical circuits, robot programming, simulations and data analysis, hardware assembly, operate industrial robot arms (Yaskawa or Fanuc), computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing. The students will report their contributions in terms of a final oral presentation with working demos, and an (optional) technical/conference paper writing. |
Preferred Qualifications: |
Basic programming skills (Python, C, Java), basics of CAD (Solidworks), 3D printing, circuits design, sensor integration with hardware and software, PLC programming, interpreting data in MATLAB.
