Miami Bound - Get Outside

Calling all those with a spirit of adventure! Explore the outdoors and make new friends. This program will connect you with other first-year students who share your passion for the outdoors while easing the transition into life on campus.

Dates and Important Information

  • Location: Oxford, Ohio
  • Dates: August 19 - 22, 2024
  • Registration Fee: $195 + pre-semester housing
  • Fee Includes: Off-site transportation, meals, camping, activity specific equipment, staff

 

Schedule

Day 1

  • Move-in to your residence hall
  • Welcome activity and ice breakers in the evening

Day 2

  • Biking tour of campus
  • Challenge course experience
  • Rock Climbing at the Rec Center
  • Evening campfire with s'mores

Day 3

  • Full day adventure off-campus
  • Choice activity of backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing or rock climbing
  • Overnight camping trip in the tri-state region

Day 4

  • Closing Activity
  • Return to Campus

Register through the Office of Orientation

Registration opens on May 20 at 1 p.m. Eastern time. You must be registered for an orientation session before you're eligible to sign up for a Miami Bound program.
