Feedback Loops Addressing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

2020-2021 Boldly Creative Project

As Miami University continues to promote diversity, equity and inclusion across the institution, it will be important to assess our efforts. This assessment project moves beyond the typical approach of gathering student input before creating a new initiative to engaging students in an ongoing, continued way.

Trained facilitators gather critical input from undergraduate students from diverse populations in focus group sessions. Findings are analyzed by a faculty member with scholarly expertise in the field and used to promote positive change.

This assessment project will ensure that Miami University advances the important goal to produce graduates who address prejudice, bigotry and racism to enact fundamental and lasting positive social change.
