Job Summary:

Weather station technician oversees ongoing research comprising weekly collection, processing and mailing of precipitation samples and downloading, storing and organizing data from other weather instruments. Other duties as assigned

Graduate students with an assistantship and Teaching Associates need to obtain permission from the Graduate School to work in addition to their teaching/assistantship.

Essential Duties:

Collection, processing and mailing of both dry and wet precipitation samples. Samples are mailed for analysis by the USGS and US EPA. Technician also downloads other weather data and ensures proper storage and organization of those data.

Minimum Qualifications:

Working towards a master’s degree.

Preferred

Qualifications:

Working towards and Master of Environmental Science degree. Proficient in Excel.
