Job Summary:

Miami Online seeks undergraduate student support for their Oxford office. The student employee will gain invaluable experience providing administrative and operational support, as well as assisting in the many tasks related to the effective design and delivery of online and hybrid courses. This is a professionalization opportunity for students seeking internships or post-graduation job prospects.

Essential Duties:

Provide assistance to Miami Online staff:
• Collaborate with office leadership, instructional designers, media producers, and student success team.
• Monitor and assign faculty, staff, and student concerns related to online and hybrid learning, Canvas LMS use, and other routine support needs.
• Schedule and promote awareness of faculty training programs and events; assist with set up.
• Aid in delivering or updating office and campus communications (e.g., newsletters, website updates).
• Perform basic office skills: answer phones, route calls, take messages, check mail, run campus errands, direct visitors, and maintain office cleanliness.
• Assist with shared projects between Miami Online, the Graduate School, and University Communications and Marketing (UCM) as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: • Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at Miami University.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency in Google Workspace apps (e.g., Docs, Sheets, Slides).
• Ability to take direction and work as a team member.
• Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate self-motivation.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with and/or working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, etc.).
• Experience with HTML and web content management systems (Cascade, WordPress).
• Experience with online and distance learning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
