Salary/Grade:

$11.30 - $12.30 / hr

Hours per week:

1-40 hrs

Job Summary:

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Department is seeking courteous, dependable, and self-motivated student assistants to work in the teaching labs in Hughes Hall.

**All majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.**

Flexible hours Monday-Friday – no weekend shifts required!
Opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of stock management, lab course preparation, chemical safety, lab practices, customer service, and more.



Essential Duties:

Student assistants will aid lab managers, professors, graduate students, and students with stock management and lab set up for courses

Minimum Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be:
· Willing to learn and follow all safety procedures and best practices
· Courteous & dependable
· Ability to follow direction and relay information
· Eager to listen & communicate

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a lab or storeroom environment and/or experience in a retail setting is great but not required.
