Job Title: Assistant Director of Digital Engagement

Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Digital Engagement is charged with creating and managing Miami Athletics’ digital strategy for constituent engagement and revenue generation through email campaigns, social media messaging, in-venue gameday messaging and other digital platforms that provide knowledge to the Miami RedHawks community and a call to action to support Miami Athletics. This position will work collaboratively with the Athletic Communications and Marketing team to create digital content that directly aligns with the Graduating Champions mission, the Miami Athletics’ external units to assist in strategy that promotes generating revenue through ticket sales, donor engagement and sponsorship activation with Miami Athletics’ digital footprint. The assistant director will also have communication sport oversight with one to two ticketed sports and be responsible for ensuring that accurate and timely previews and postgame reports are posted digitally for fans, recruits, etc. to stay up-to-date on Miami athletic programs during their seasons through the assistance of the Athletic Communications and Marketing full-time staff and student intern team.

This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations.

Duties/Physical Demands:

• Responsible for leading the strategy around call-to-action and revenue focused content for email campaigns, social media messaging, web releases, etc. that provide a high level of audience engagement, growth and interaction with information, that can be correlated back to an increase in revenue through routine analysis of strategy and engagement data.
• Work with the Athletic Communications and Marketing full time team and student intern team to create pregame and postgame pieces for web and/or social media to keep fans up-to-date on the success of Miami Athletics’ programs for one to two ticketed sports.
• Responsible for creating the content to highlight when student-athletes, coaches, programs, etc. win various awards available through their sport or conference.
• Serve as the liaison for the Senior Director of News and Communications in University Communications and Marketing to help coordinate all media opportunities to highlight Miami Athletics’ student-athletes, coaches, program and rich history.
• Work closely with the Athletic Communications and Marketing staff to ensure that the digital engagement strategy supports the overall marketing strategy, goals and mission of the department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree

Desired Qualifications:

• 1-3 years' experience at an NCAA Division I institution or conference or in professional sports.
• Prior experience working with student interns
• Graphic design experience

• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Strong proofreading skills
• Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and promote an inclusive work environment
