Miami University tutors will assist children in the local community in improving their reading skills during a 3-week summer camp. Miami has developed partnerships with several local schools and organizations to provide one-on-one support and assistance for children in grades K-6 in the areas of reading, writing, spelling, and vocabulary. Our partners are located throughout Butler and Hamilton Counties. No previous tutoring experience is necessary. All College of Education, Health, and Society students can apply. Applicants must commit to the 3 weeks of service. If recommended for hire by the Learning Lab, you will be required to pass a State of Ohio criminal background check through the Miami University Police Department before being hired. The cost of the background check will be covered by the Learning Lab.

Financial Assistance Advisor/Senior Financial Assistance Advisor

This professional staff member counsels students and parents about financial aid programs, application procedures, and eligibility, and assists with problem resolution; serves as a resource and a liaison to Miami's One-Stop staff and management; uses technical knowledge of federal and state student aid programs to ensure compliance and accuracy; determines and verifies student eligibility for financial assistance; and assists with outreach activities. This position is approved for remote work on a hybrid basis. Remote work is not a right, but a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.

Director of Broadcasting

The Director of Broadcasting will report to the Assistant Athletic Director and Chief Athletics Marketing and Communications Officer and be directly responsible for the oversight of staffing, scheduling, administrative oversight, development, video and live event production and television distribution for Miami Athletics. This position will also assist in the administration of a Division I athletic department in a manner which is consistent with the policies of Miami University, the National Collegiate Athletic Association, and other appropriate governing bodies (i.e. Mid-American Conference, National Collegiate Hockey Conference or the United States Figure Skating Association).
