Important Note for Fall Enrollment

Miami is upgrading to a new student information system designed to make managing your Miami experience — everything from course registration to payments and transcripts — simpler and more intuitive. Beginning in late March, students who have accepted their admission offer for fall 2027 will receive access to their Miami account and instructions to complete important next steps.

All incoming students will receive access to the new system at the same time, with plenty of time to complete required steps before classes begin. We will update this page and email you with everything you need to know before access becomes available.

What you can do now:

After Miami's new student system launches in March, you can:

  • Claim your Miami student account. This account gives you access to your Miami email address and unique ID number.
  • Choose a housing and dining plan. Miami’s on-campus housing is guaranteed for first-time college students, and no housing assignments occur until after the May 5 housing contract deadline for all new students. Most first- and second-year students are required to live in university housing. Through the housing contract process, you will provide information about residence, dining, and roommate preferences, and housing assignments are communicated over the summer. • Register for orientation. A requirement for enrollment, student orientation provides a solid foundation for success at Miami. Learn more about Orientation and Transition Programs and about international student orientation.
  • Take placement tests. These will inform academic advising and course registration.
  • Receive an official transfer credit evaluation. Unofficial credit evaluations are provided sooner, upon receipt of your college transcripts. Learn more about transferable credit.
  • Provide medical and immunization records.
