Job Summary:

Responsible for maintaining an assigned vending route on campus. This positions key responsibility is to complete an assigned route daily, including stocking all machines in each building. This is a fast paced work environment. Daily routes can include up to 11-12 buildings and when available part time student help may be available to assist with the route duties during busy periods of the year. This position is assigned duties such as preparing stock and loading products into machines as one of the main functions. Also placing orders, occasionally working in warehouse; stocking trucks, putting vendor deliveries away and inventory duties. Cleaning and maintaining our equipment is also an essential part of the job. Beverage and snack vending on campus is our main business. This position is responsible for utilizing inventory programs throughout the day with an I-pad. This position utilizes the I-pads to access and initiate stock reports to maintain stock in machines throughout the day. This is fast paced work environment that requires repetitive lifting, getting in and out of a tall truck box and pushing two wheel dollies with at times significant weight from the truck to stock machines throughout the shift to meet the route goals.
Hours and days are- 5am-1:30pm Monday-Friday with some OT available.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Inventory, maintaining vending route, driving university vehicles,
Stocking, operating Ipads and other computer programs including accessing apps and websites to complete daily work and task list.
Ability to work on your own to complete the assigned route.
Lifting and moving products and equipment with two wheel dollies and pallet jacks, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
May assist in set ups and performing other tasks in support of special events.
Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires high school diploma or GED and one year of moving experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Requires driver's license and may require a Commercial Drivers License.

Desired Qualifications:

 

Route work, food service, retail, delivery, Inventory and mechanical skills, organizational skills, stocker, picker, experience working in a fast paced work environment. Experience driving large box truck vehicles.
Experience with various forms of technology such as point of sale, inventory systems and tablets.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic mechanical skills
Ability to use fork lift and other power equipment
Knowledge of moving techniques and procedures

Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

Continuous standing, walking, or operating machinery with considerable lifting of materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Periodic assignments given which entail dealing with modestly unpleasant physical situations.
