The Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health within Miami University’s College of Education, Health, and Society is seeking applicants for a nine-month, non-tenure track position as a Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor beginning fall semester of the 2024-2025 academic year to teach undergraduate courses in Kinesiology and graduate courses in Athletic Training while providing service to the institution. Appointments are for August 2024-May 2025 with the possibility of renewal depending on available funding and job performance. Faculty in the Department of Kinesiology, Nutrition, and Health provide a quality learning experience for students, supervise student research projects, serve on institutional committees, and are committed to diversity and inclusive excellence.

Assistant Director Community Engagement in Oxford, OH
The Assistant Director is a member of the Center for Student Engagement, Activities, and Leadership team. The Center is a part of the Division of Student life and includes the Office of Student Activities; The Wilks Institute for Leadership and Service; and the Cliff Alexander Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life. The Assistant Director reports to an Associate Director of the Center and works with colleagues and stakeholders in the enhancement of community engagement, civic engagement, and leadership development at Miami University. This position supervises several student staff members. Additional opportunities include professional development through participation in conferences and trainings, including certification as a CliftonStrengths™ Coach. The Assistant Director works collaboratively with students, campus partners, community leaders, and departments to provide students with the opportunity to engage with communities of interest and develop a sense of belonging. This position may represent the Center through campus committees that support the leadership, service, and civic engagement mission of the Wilks Institute. The Assistant Director also fosters close working relationships with campus partners, community partners, and community-based organizations. The Assistant Director works with the entire Center and other colleagues to develop and implement opportunities for students to understand their leadership skills and how they can use them to positively impact the community. The Center is a vibrant and collaborative team committed to continued growth and development for Miami University students and our team members.

2024-2025 Academic Year Resident Assistant - Salaried Student in Oxford, OH
Resident Assistants (RAs) are full-time enrolled students who assist the Office of Residence Life in fostering growth and engaging in academic success, effective community engagement, intrapersonal development, and cultural competency. Through the creation of community, facilitation of events, and development of relationships during intentional one-on-one conversations, resident assistants provide opportunities for students to become citizen leaders within their community. RAs will participate in ongoing professional development related to policies, procedures, philosophy and learning outcomes established by the Office of Residence Life.

The Community Manager is a 10 month, live-in, benefits-eligible, staff position for the 2024-2025 academic year, ending on May 23, 2025. that is responsible for the operation of one or two residence halls, housing between 120-300 students. The Community Manager is charged with shaping the community and experiences of residential students by providing services and programs focused on the Office of Residence Life's Pillars of Success. This position reports to an Assistant Director of Residence Life. The position could be renewable if enrolled in a Miami University graduate program or the need of the department.
