Ensuring the safety and well-being of the community, the Miami University Police Department takes pride in providing a diverse range of services on a regular basis.
Emergency Procedures and Contacts
In the event of a natural disaster or large-scale emergency, Miami will use its Emergency Notification System to communicate emergency information. This may include texts, emails, VoIP phone messages, computer screen alerts, and more. Depending on the situation, emails could also be sent to the emergency contacts (parents, guardians) that students have specified.
RedHawk Safe App
The RedHawk Safe application is available at no cost for Android and iOS smartphones. Guests can register for an account within the AppArmor app itself, which enables push notifications and alerts such as critical events, weather alerts, etc.
