Job Summary:

This Student Specialist position is to assist with research within the Technical Services department of the Libraries. They will work with the Acquisitions and Access Librarian on a Academic Library Association of Ohio(ALAO) grant funded research project. The research is centered on the educational curriculum of librarians and electronic resources. This position will help gather course data from various ALA accredited programs and gather job descriptions from identified sources. The Acquisitions and Access Librarian and this position will work together using qualitative methods to analyze the data gathered. Information will be provided on how to gather data and analysis methods used. This position is collaborative, so input regarding workflow, data harvesting, and analysis is encouraged.

The typical work schedule for this role will fall between 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday, but is flexible.

Minimum Qualifications: – Able to work independently and follow procedures and directions.
– Reliability, and honesty.
– Basic computer skills are a must.
– Accuracy and attention to detail.
– Good communication and willingness to learn.
