Job Summary: |
Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate sociology courses and provide student advising beginning August 2023. Miami University’s Regional Campuses are open admissions campuses with a liberal arts curriculum. Teaching responsibilities will include our primary needs – sociology in a global context, social deviance, and sexualities.

Minimum Qualifications: |
PhD in sociology or closely related field (specialization open) by date of appointment for appointment as visiting assistant professor; OR, a Masters in sociology or closely related field (specialization open) by date of appointment for appointment as instructor.

Desired Qualifications: |
Consideration may be given to those that demonstrate all or most of the following: experience and excellence in college teaching; experience with or openness to teaching online courses; experience with non-traditional students; advising experience; and strong skills in interacting and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds and disciplines. The campus is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the Miami community through their teaching and advising.
