Job Summary: |
For Fall 2023- 24 The Social Media Assistant will work closely with the Director of Operations and Communications and the Assistant Director of Marketing to create and implement online communications that advance the mission of the Career Center.

Essential Duties: |
The student will create compelling videos and content about career opportunities, programming, resources, and stories for social media outlets such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Wordpress (blog articles). This position will require attendance at CCES events, some held after 5 p.m. The selected student will work with the Operations and Communications team under the supervision of the Director of Operations and Communications.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Technical Skills The ideal candidate will be skilled in most or all of the Adobe Creative Suite products (Premier, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) or similar programs (Canva, iMovie), have a deep understanding of all social media channels, be willing to learn and adapt to new technologies, and have an understanding of web and social media usability and accessibility standards. Preferred candidates will possess prior working experience creating digital content. Knowledge of social media reporting and analytics for sites including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Wordpress is preferred.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will be: - a rising sophomore, junior, or senior with skills and interest in content creation including video production and editing, photography, writing, and graphic design; - detail-oriented, outgoing, innovative, and able to adhere to deadlines; - have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and - possess a willingness to attend CCES-hosted events to gather content including videos, photos, quotes, short interviews, etc.
