Job Summary:

Regional Admission Student Ambassadors are a group of current students partnered with the Regional Office of Admission to aid with the outreach and recruitment of prospective students. As the face of Miami University Regionals, Student Ambassadors are expected to uphold the highest standards of customer service and positively promote Miami Regionals.

Essential Duties:

Student Ambassadors have various duties including, but not limited to:
- conducting campus tours with potential students and family members during campus visit programs, group visits, individual appointments, etc.
- serving on student panels during campus visit programs where they are encouraged to share their experiences as Miami students and answer questions from potential students and guests
- working at least one campus visit program (RED Event, Guidance Counselor Luncheon, etc.) per semester
- completing telecounseling hours which includes calling prospective students to confirm event attendance, encourage application submission, and other call campaigns as needed
- the opportunity to visit alma mater to recruit prospective students with assigned admission counselor

The Student Ambassador program at Miami University Regionals is a selective program. Students must complete an application and interview with the Student Ambassador Program Coordinator. Once selected for hire, students will complete required training where they will acquire knowledge of all campus activities, organizations, departments, and offices that are vital to relaying a reliable and pertinent message to prospective students and families.

Student Ambassadors are paid bi-weekly, working no more than 22 hours per week. Prior to the beginning of the semester, Student Ambassadors will send their class schedules and availability to the Student Ambassador Program Coordinator. The Program Coordinator will coordinate scheduling and payroll.

Minimum Qualifications:

2.5 GPA; enrolled in 6 hours each semester
