Job Summary:

Regional Orientation Leaders (ROLs) will work SOAR programs at Miami Hamilton campus. ROLs are positive role models who assist new students in transitioning to Miami University Regionals. ROLs should have a passion for the Miami Regionals experience, knowledge of campus, a desire to help others, and enjoy working as a part of a team.

Essential Duties:

Lead a group of 5 - 20 incoming students during the Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration (SOAR) program. This includes presenting information about MyMiami, giving a campus tour, leading icebreakers and discussions, answering questions, etc.

Assist with other duties as assigned (e.g. check-in, stuffing folders, calling students to confirm registrations, directing students) before, during, and after orientation.

Familiarize new students with academic opportunities and procedures, campus services, activities, opportunities, policies, and locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

No previous experience required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Desire to welcome new students to campus
