Job Summary:

Assists speech and hearing clinic clients on the phone and in person. Performs tasks in the daily operation of the clinic and department of Speech Pathology and Audiology.

Essential Duties:

Roles and Responsibilities
• Provides clerical level services to students, patients, faculty and staff in the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. Executes administrative policies determine by or in conjunction with other staff.
• Greets visitors/clients, ascertains nature of business and directs visitors/patients to appropriate locations
• Answers telephone and give information to callers or routes call to appropriate person and places outgoing calls.
• Schedules appointments, gives information to callers, compose notes and routes to appropriate persons.
• Works with word/chrome/excel and electronic medical record system to complete administrative and clerical duties.
• Handles sensitive and extensive confidential information.
• Files/scans correspondence and all other confidential records.
• Maintains related databases and enters new data.
• Assists audiologists with ordering and scanning.
• Maintains appropriate supplies and provides cleaning protocols as needed in treatment areas.
• Maintains inventory or therapy supplies, materials, and protective equipment.

Current enrolled undergraduate student

• Strong interpersonal interaction skills and multi-tasking
• Previous customer service experience
• Understanding of speech and hearing clinic functions
