Job Summary:

The Interactive Language Resource Center seeks applications for the position of Student Assistant to perform routine tasks and to maintain a secure, friendly, hospitable environment while assisting students, faculty, staff, and the Oxford community.

Essential Duties:

Must be able to:
1) Process student and faculty request forms and service request slips.
2) Maintain the lost and found boxes for the buildings.
3) Process attendance card transactions.
4) Process duplication and media requisition requests.
5) Proctor makeup tests/quizzes/exams for foreign language faculty.
6) Troubleshoot general computer questions and problems that students may have.
7) Assist with computer related language software instruction for students having questions.
8) Maintain lab reservations for classrooms.
9) Clean and keep lab rooms tidy and organized.
10) Clean/disinfect computer keyboards and mice.
11) Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the ILRC Director.

Minimum Qualifications:

1) Must be an enrolled student with a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester.
2) Please include a brief résumé and include a list of the days and hours (M-F from 8:30-6:00pm) that you would be available to work (e.g.; time spans where you do not have classes or other commitments).

Preferred Qualifications: 

1) General knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Web browsers).
2) General knowledge of troubleshooting computer problems and fixing simple computer/printer
hardware problems.
3) Students enrolled in language classes/ASL or majoring in a language/ASL encouraged to apply.
