Job Summary:


This mid-level professional registrar position is responsible for managing and enhancing all processes housed within the Office of the University Registrar, but having University-wide impact, pertaining to one or more of the following areas of specialization within the office of the University Registrar: Class scheduling, transfer evaluation, degree clearance, curriculum approval, registration, and academic records.

This position is approved for remote work on a hybrid basis. Remote work is not a right, but a working arrangement that can be modified or revoked by Miami University at any time for any reason.


Duties/Physical Demands:

Manages Administrative and Self-Service Banner and associated University business system/program upgrades (25Live, PAVER, Transferology, uAchieve, BI Publisher, CAT/CIM, Change of Program, Change of Grade and ROR). Signs off** on completed upgrades for areas of responsibility.
Develops training programs and materials for coordinators to use in training faculty, department/division administrators, and students on all campuses to facilitate use of these systems and applications including, but not limited to, Administrative Banner and Banner Self-Service, 25Live, PAVER, Transferology, uAchieve, BI Publisher, CAT/CIM, Change of Program, Change of Grade, and ROR.
Provides consultation on and monitors compliance with processes, timelines, and deadlines with academic departments regarding the business processes of the University Registrar’s office and ensures that policies are enforced, and processes followed. Addresses** non-compliance with policies and procedures. Ensures accuracy of data in Banner and supplemental systems.
Oversees for all campuses Banner and integrated software control processes and applications related to functions such as semester/term development and scheduling, registration, end of term closure, degree clearance and posting, course catalog maintenance, degree audit, and transfer credit posting.
Responsible for internal and/or external reporting to University constituents as well as external entities such as the National Student Clearinghouse.
Performs ongoing systematic review, evaluation, and updating of specific procedures within the Office of the University Registrar. Identifies processes that can be stream lined with existing technology and implements improvements.
Partners with IT Services to coordinate* or lead** process improvement projects which require enhanced development or modification of existing or new software.
Directs workflow, supervises, evaluates and recommends disciplinary action for the Office of the University Registrar support staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree plus two*/three** years of experience with increasing responsibility. Must possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills congruent with collaborative management style. Experience working within a team environment. Experience with staff training and supervision and experience in a Registrar’s Office or academic division/departmental office including functions and practices strongly preferred.
