Job Summary: Solution Delivery is responsible for creating and operating many of the applications used by Miami University.
Solution Delivery has a need for student employees to aid in the development of tools and knowledge to support the delivery and operation of applications. Such tools might include automations, process improvements or building new capabilities.
You will work under the guidance of professional staff to understand the need, create a design, and implement a solution. You will work independently, as well as with others on the team, to achieve these outcomes.
Training in necessary technologies will be provided as needed, based on the skill level of the student employee.
Essential Duties: -Work with stakeholders to develop an understanding of the problem domain and design suitable solutions.
-Work individually or as part of a team to research, analyze, design, develop/modify, and test applications.
-Provide regular status reports on assigned projects.
-Produce documentation for designs and/or solutions.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: A current student with a major or minor in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
Preferred Qualifications: -A computer programming background
-Preferred programming languages and technologies include PHP, Laravel framework, Databases, Linux, HTML/CSS
-Familiarity with APIs (creating and consuming)
-Proficient in Google Docs and MS Office suite, especially Excel and Word
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
