Job Summary:

Seeking multiple student Career Ambassadors to support the Career Services & Professional Development offices on the Middletown & Hamilton Campuses. These student employee positions will focus on providing outreach to students on both campuses, seeking to increase the visibility of CSPD. Additionally, they will serve as peer advisors to students regarding job search skills. They will be supervised by the Regional Assistant Director of Career Development.

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.

Essential Duties: ***Actively participate in CSPD outreach efforts, including tabling, interactive outreaches,
speaking to student organizations, actively contributing to social media presence, and similar
***Provide peer advising for job search skills (i.e., resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and job
search strategies) for Miami University Regionals students as needed.
***Prepare materials for job search workshops or presentations.
***As needed basis--answer incoming calls, greet students for appointments and walk-ins.
***Some clerical functions/ability to operate office equipment (copy machines, shredders,
mobile video carts, etc.).
***Assist professional office staff as needed.
***Other duties as assigned to meet departmental needs.


Minimum Qualifications:

This position is very flexible! However, applicants must have some availability Monday-Friday between the hours of 11am-4pm.
***Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours at Miami University Regionals during the
academic term.
***Must have a minimum 2.50 GPA.
***Confidentiality is a must to comply with Federal Privacy laws.
***Open to all majors.
***Must have an interest in helping students with job search skills.
***Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google G-Suite, and ability to use Handshake.
***Appropriate verbal and written communication skills.
***Ability to work independently, and work from verbal or written instructions.
***Dependable and creative.
***Must be appropriately dressed to represent a professional work environment (office shirts

Preferred Qualifications:  Prefer a minimum of sophomore status.
