Job Summary:

The Student Associate for Marketing/Social Media for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion will provide support to the OIDI in creating and maintaining various marketing initiatives.

Essential Duties:

Develop and maintain a Social Media Content calendar to increase engagement, followship, and web traffic for the Office of Institutional Diversity and Inclusion's social accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok.
Assist in the weekly development of the Weekly Three Newsletter.
Create content to promote Heritage Month Events.
Attend events and meetings on campus when possible to take photos/videos for Social Media.
Comply with Miami University's Social Media Policy guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current Miami University student with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
Familiarity with campus resources, departments, offices, and services available at the University.
Strong written and verbal communication (including copy editing and proofreading ability).
Self-motivated and detail-oriented.
Proficient in at least a few social media platforms.
Strong computer skills including Google Drive, Microsoft Office Suite, and willingness to learn new programs.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable with email as a primary means of communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for social media and marketing.
Passion for health and wellness.
Proficient in Adobe Suite (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), and Canva.
Some video-editing experience.
