Job Title:

Assistant Professor

Job Summary:

Seeking an Assistant Professor in Chemistry to add to our diverse faculty with a start date in August, 2022. Primary responsibilities include teaching General and Organic Chemistry and their associated laboratories, maintaining an active research agenda involving undergraduate students, providing general advising to undergraduate students, and performing service to the department, the university, and the community. Additional course offerings in Analytical Chemistry and/or Biochemistry may be available depending on faculty expertise. Research that enables collaboration with faculty members in the MPS department, the Biological Sciences department, or the Engineering Technology department in the College of Liberal Arts and Applied Sciences and/or the Chemistry and Biochemistry department in the College of Arts and Sciences are particularly encouraged to apply.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ph.D. in Chemistry or Biochemistry by date of appointment.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates who have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate chemistry teaching and can involve undergraduate students in research. Candidates with experience teaching face-to-face, online, or hybrid formats are encouraged to apply.
