Job Title: Front Desk Receptionist - Student Associate
Salary/Grade:

8.95/hr - 9.80/hr

Job Summary:

Global Initiatives (GLI) is looking for friendly, outgoing, and self-motivated students to work as a front desk receptionist in the GLI Advising & Consulting Center.

This position would allow a student to gain valuable experience working with international and diverse populations while gaining expertise in customer service and office applications. The position will begin Mid-April. Hours will be available for summer and will extend into the next academic year.

Essential Duties:

Duties will include, but are not limited to: Assisting students, faculty/staff, and community members who visit the center. Duties will include form collection, scheduling advising appointments, and answering general questions for our International Student and Scholar Services, Education Abroad, and Continuing Education offices. Answer advising center calls, handle office email, scheduling appointments, filing, data entry, photocopying, scanning, organizing office materials, running errands on campus, taking visa/passport photos, and other duties as assigned. Applicants must be available to work at least 5-10 hours a week.

Minimum Qualifications:

Excellent communication and organizational skills, customer service experience. Experience working with a diverse group of constituents.
