Job Summary:

Support the Office of the Recreational Sports Center Customer Service department (Pro Shop, Reception, Equipment Checkout, and Facility Supervision) under the direction of the Associate Director. Provide support for all customer service areas such as student staff supervision, facility coverage, inventory management, and member services


Duties/Physical Demands:

Direct supervision to recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate Customer Service staff (60-80 student staff)
Direct supervision of 6-8 Student Manager staff including recruiting, training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and weekly meetings
Organize and conduct annual staff training sessions and monthly student staff meetings.
Assist with management of the Reception Control, Membership Enrollment, Equipment Checkout, and Pro Shop areas ensuring accountability, efficiency, friendliness, and total quality customer service for both external and internal customers.
Provide facility coverage and other departmental special events at the recreation facilities including planning, staffing, and evaluation; integral part of the Event Management Team.
Assist with retail management processes such as ordering, tracking and control processes
Assist with member management processes such as enrollment, activation, and cancellation.
Responsible for coverage of 2-3 student shifts per week
Works with the Associate Director researching, reviewing, recommending, and initiating new opportunities, changes, and/or action plans to office/facility customer services, policies, procedures, and/or customer offerings.
Assists with special event requests, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working in a collegiate, recreational sports environment.
Must have current CPR/First Aid, BBP and AED certifications/ acquired within 30 days of hire.


Desired Qualifications:

Strong customer service skills.
Computer experience required, preferred experience in using Microsoft Office.
Supervisory, e-sports, customer service and retail experience preferred.
