Job Title: Regional Director Learning Assistance
Job Summary:

Regional Director Learning Assistance to oversee and direct the operations, staff, academic support programs, and all initiatives including tutoring and academic mentoring programs for regional campuses. Supervise reading, writing and math support courses, personnel and programs. Oversee and implement assessment and placement for students. Oversee pre-college program, athlete academic support program, TRIO, and Upward Bound. Create, implement and evaluate supports for at-risk students.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Duties include and are limited to: Coordinate support courses in Reading, Writing, Math and Study Skills. Evaluate instructors and help determine curriculum; Evaluate departmental program and determine improvements. Implement, monitor and evaluate assessment and placement; Supervise 7 unclassified, 1 classified, 2 grant-funded programs (TRIO and Upward Bound). Determine departmental goals, leads monthly departmental meetings and bi-weekly individual meetings with staff; Monitor and evaluate tutoring and learning center programs and usage; Supervise grants, monitor progress, support program with workshops, field trips, and other activities; Monitor budget, approve expenditures, set expenses for entire department and grant.

Minimum Qualifications:

Current employee at Miami University. Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Human Services, or related field; at least 3 years of experience in Higher Education working with at-risk students. Educational assessment; placement strategies; curriculum development; budget management.

This position is not eligible for H-1B sponsorship.
