Chemistry and Biochemistry Student Assistant

Salary/Grade:

$8.80/hr - $9.65/hr

Job Summary:

The Chemistry and Biochemistry Storeroom is seeking courteous, dependable, and self-motivated student assistants to support the department with sales transactions, invoicing/billing, shipping and receiving, inventory and stock management.

**All majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.**

We offer:
Flexible hours Monday-Friday – no weekend or evening shifts required!
Opportunity to gain experience and knowledge of retail sales, fulfillment center operations, inventory management, shipping and receiving, billing, organization, chemical safety, lab practices, customer service, and more.
Summer and Winter term hours may be available.

Essential Duties:

Student assistants will aid professors, graduate students, and department staff with:
· Retail transactions and order fulfillment
· Physical inventory and stock management
· Shipping and receiving

Minimum Qualifications:

· Willing to learn and follow all safety procedures and best practices
· Courteous & dependable
· Ability to follow direction and relay information
· Eager to listen & communicate

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a lab or storeroom environment and/or experience in a retail setting is great but not required
