Job Title: Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health and Society
Job Summary:

The Office of the Provost invites applications for the position of Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health and Society. This is a full-time, unclassified position to begin January 1, 2021. Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, the Interim Dean of the College of Education, Health and Society will provide energetic leadership and serve as the chief administrative, academic and budgetary officer for EHS in the transitional period of time until the permanent dean begins.

Duties/Physical Demands:

• Managing effectively in an academic environment—balancing strong fiscal and management skills while advocating for the College’s research, teaching, and service missions.
• Balancing curriculum, enrollment, financial and faculty resources to optimize the quality, diversity, and availability of instructional programs.
• Facilitating support from external partners, institutional supporters, alumni and other key constituencies.
• Working closely and collaboratively with other deans and units to further the goals and objectives of the University.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Candidates must have achieved the rank of full professor in an existing department for the College of Education, Health and Society.
• Must have demonstrated administrative experience.
