Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor

Job Summary:

Teach a full-time load of classes per semester in Entrepreneurial Foundations / Value, Creation, and Capture / Creativity and Organization or similar introductory classes dealing with entrepreneurial finance, entrepreneurial leadership, and potentially other entrepreneurship courses, including venture capital and technology commercialization; provide office hours to work with students; support updates and revisions to the course to keep pedagogy aligned with changing entrepreneurial climate.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business, creative studies or a related discipline; at least 3 years of entrepreneurial experience in start-up, corporate, creative, or social entrepreneurship; teaching experience and practical experience in areas related to entrepreneurial finance; strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to communicate effectively with first-year students through senior-level faculty / administrators.

This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Desired Qualifications:

PhD in business or a related discipline; five years of excellence in teaching or evidence of teaching potential in an area related to entrepreneurship; demonstrated experience as an exceptional teacher at the university level; expertise and practical experience in areas related to entrepreneurial finance, venture / angel investing, creativity / innovation, technology commercialization, or incubators / accelerators; five years of entrepreneurial experience working with or in start-up, corporate, creative, or social entrepreneurship.
