Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary:

Serve as personnel content expert and resource to academic units at Miami University and Personnel Technicians within the Office of Academic Personnel Services.


Serve as personnel content expert and resource to academic units at Miami University and Personnel Technicians within the Office of Academic Personnel Services; support searches by reviewing position descriptions/maintaining position description library, assisting with postings; provide training/present to administrative support staff in academic units regarding personnel procedures and systems; document and maintain policies and procedures; maintain compliance records; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in a human resources office; or three years of human resources experience; experience working in applicant tracking system and in HRIS database; command of word processing and spreadsheet programs; proven attention to detail; customer service experience.

This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.)

Desired Qualifications:

Experience with Banner HR and PageUp; familiarity with Miami personnel policies and procedures; experience with training/troubleshooting.
