Job Title: Coordinator of Teacher Academy Partnership and Regional Cohort
Job Summary:

Coordinator of Teacher Academy Partnership and Regional Cohort (part-time, temporary, unclassified position) to coordinate the Primary Education (ECE/PK-5) Regional Cohort, and Miami University’s Teacher Academy Partnership. Eligible for re-appointment, based on performance.

Duties/Physical Demands:

The following functions are central to the purpose of this position: Coordinate the design, implementation, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of the Regional Primary Education Cohort (ECE/PK-5) program located at the Miami University Hamilton Regional campus; coordinate the design, implementation, monitoring, professional development, and ongoing evaluation of Miami University Teacher Academy Partnership to increase recruitment of diverse and highly qualified teacher candidates who will enroll in the Department of Teacher Education (EDT) at Miami University via three options: Oxford-bound students, Regional relocating to Oxford students, and Regional Cohort students (all four years at the Regionals). Acts as single point of contact for all information concerning this program and its activities; identification and submission (in collaboration with Miami Universities grants office) of applications for grants from the federal government and public and private sources; identify and engage in professional development opportunities that align with and promote the EDT mission and vision within Teacher Academy Partnership schools and other EHS/EDT partner schools (i.e. Urban Cohort schools, Douglass Elementary) to further deep partnership work within the department and college.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field; experience working within P12 schools and/or higher education. This position is available to persons who are currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time and indefinite basis. (Persons authorized to work on such a basis include US citizens, lawful permanent residents (“green card” holders), asylees, refugees, and temporary residents under IRCA.).

Desired Qualifications:

Master’s degree in education or related field; experience teaching in P12 schools; experience providing professional development to P12 schools; experience working with teacher academies; experience teaching or administration in higher education; experience making connections between P12 schools and institutions of higher education; xperience with grant writing or seeking external funding.
