Job Title: Sr Program Assistant

Job Summary:

Performs a variety of clerical, administrative, and customer service duties related to supporting the operations of the Campus Services Center.

Duties/Physical Demands:
  • Assists users of Campus Services Center by providing information regarding policies and procedures related to Housing, Meal Plans, Box Office, Parking and Campus ID Cards; may assist patrons by resolving complaints/problems and referring when appropriate.
  • May assist in the performance of various financial and budgetary tasks including preparing and monitoring budgets, preparing fiscal reports, or processing payments.
  • Regularly uses various computer systems for daily job duties.
  • May assist with various administrative tasks including housing processes, ticket sales, ordering supplies, preparing requisitions, scheduling use of equipment, maintaining calendars, or conducting research.
  • May prepare various written materials including correspondence, information sheets, or news releases.
  • Responds to phone calls, emails, and walk-in guests in professional and helpful manner.
  • May maintain and update various files and records; may maintain department's computer databases.
  • May perform a variety of clerical tasks including maintaining an inventory of office supplies, data processing, opening and sorting mail, assisting with bulk mailings, and delivering financial material to another office.
  • May be required to work a limited number of evenings and weekends according to business need.
Minimum Qualifications:

Requires six months of coursework or training beyond high school in Business Administration and three years of office experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and equipment
  • Knowledge of computers and office applications
  • Some knowledge of administrative procedures which may include budgeting, research, preparing fiscal and other reports; supervisory skills
  • Research skills
