Job Title: Human Resources Student Assistant


Job Summary:

We are searching for Student Assistants to support our Employment area within the Department of Human Resources. The experience and training that student employees receive in the HR department can be extremely beneficial for future employment opportunities. Our student assistants perform important tasks including one or more of the duties listed below.

Job Duties:

Typical office duties including answering phones/emails, filing, copying/printing
Assist with student and staff I-9 processes
Creating file folders/labels for employees and job postings
Entering confidential data and imaging in HR database
Calling applicant references
Assist with job fairs
Updating bulletin board with current job postings weekly
Other duties assigned by the respective HR teams

**We are looking for individuals who could work over the SUMMER and continue into FALL term.**

Minimum Qualifications:

Our ideal candidates would meet the following qualifications:

Self-motivated and work well independently and with a team
Shows initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
Have a proven record of being on time in the workplace
Customer service experience
Attention to detail and record keeping
Be professional at all times
Keep the strictest standard of confidentiality as a Human Resources student employee
Computer experience in a professional setting (Microsoft Office, Google Docs, etc.) and the
ability to learn new programs quickly
A working knowledge of office procedures, i.e., filing, answering phones, copying, etc.
Able to receive instructions and understand duties as assigned with the expectation of reasonable completion of tasks
Have current, verifiable references
