Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Associate Athletics Director of Academics & Compliance and Director of SAASS, this position leads the day-to-day implementation of the tutoring and learning services program within the SAASS unit.

Duties/Physical Demands:

Oversee the tutoring and learning services program.
Hire, train, and supervise subject tutors and intervention learning specialists.
Work with academic coordinators to identify at-risk student-athletes and recommend appropriate support services.
Assess various academic support needs within the student-athlete body and assign/schedule resources as necessary.
Serve as intervention learning specialist.
Mentor at-risk student-athletes in one-on-one setting.
Oversee study table program.
Hire and lead study table monitors.
Maintain records of study table attendance and provide timely reports to coaches.
Assist the SAASS staff with delivering transitional programming for incoming student-athletes (e.g., summer bridge)


Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of two years of experience working with at-risk students
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends


Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
• Experience training and leading staff (e.g., tutors, mentors, learning specialists)
