Job Title: Student Assistant - Commerce
Salary/Grade: $8.55/hr - $9.65/hr
Job Summary:

Clerical functions/Ability to operate office equipment
Answer incoming calls, greet visitors, and students
Assist professional staff/faculty as needed
Other duties as assigned to meet departmental/building needs

Prepare materials for events that the Commerce Department will attend
Classroom IT troubleshooting
Fill in for Administrative Assistant as needed

Work assignments are completed under close supervision.
Procedures are well established.
Employees typically follow well-defined policies and procedures.
Minimal training or prior knowledge of work is required.


Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Qualifications Required:

Must be enrolled for a minimum of six credit hours at Miami University Regionals during the academic year
Must have a minimum 2.50 GPA
Confidentiality is a must to comply with Federal Privacy laws
Open to all majors, an interest in career development is a plus
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Docs, and willing to learn other software programs
Appropriate verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and work from verbal or written instructions
Dependable and creative
Must be appropriately dressed to represent a professional work environment
Will work around students course schedule, but must have some availability Monday – Friday, between the hours of 11am – 4pm
