Summer Scoops Tutor - Student Master 2 Undergrad

Miami has developed partnerships with Ridgeway Elementary in Hamilton City School District and with the Oxford Lane Library in an effort to provide support and assistance for children in grades K-3 in the areas of reading, writing, spelling, and vocabulary. No previous tutoring experience is necessary. All College of Education, Health, and Society students can apply. Applicants must commit to the 2 weeks of service. If recommended for hire by the Learning Lab, you will be required to pass a State of Ohio criminal background check before being hired. The cost of the background check will be covered by the Learning Lab.

Camp targets underrepresented high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Counselors will stay overnight in a residence hall Thursday night and Friday night, June 27 and June 28 respectively. During the 3 days, counselors will escort campers to various dinners, lunches, presentations, workshops, and activities. Counselors will attend the dinners and lunches with the accounting firm executives and representatives. Event concludes on Saturday, June 29 in the late afternoon at which time chaperones will be dismissed. Interviews for the positions will be conducted.
