The Office of Orientation and Transition Programs provides new Miami students with opportunities to learn about the campus community and to begin building social connections to better prepare them for their experiences as undergraduate students. Orientation and Transition Programs staff hopes to help new Miami students feel more confident, comfortable, connected, and curious about their Miami experience. The Orientation Student Coordinators, also known as SAMs (SOUL Advisors and Mentors), work directly with the Assistant Director of Orientation and Transition Programs to train, and mentor the SOUL team, along with planning and implementing summer orientation programs.
