Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor

Job Summary:

Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate and graduate courses. Responsibilities include teaching courses in our Undergraduate Inclusive Special Education (ISE), Primary Dual Licensure Program (PK-5 general and PK-5 special education) and Graduate Special Education (GSEP) Programs. Courses will be taught in-person on both Oxford and regional campuses and in online formats. The start date is August 2024.

Minimum Qualifications:

Earned doctoral degree by date of appointment in Special Education or closely related field for appointment as a Visiting Assistant Professor. Master’s degree in Special Education or closely related field with a minimum of 5 years professional teaching experience in a K-12 setting for appointment as Instructor.

Desired Qualifications:

Consideration may be given to candidates who have any of the following: earned doctorate by time of appointment; evidence of expertise in both general and special early childhood education; high-quality instruction and collaboration in higher education; experience teaching online courses; experience teaching in inclusive settings; experience teaching in PreK-5 settings; expertise and/or teaching experience related to one or more disciplines in the Department of Educational Psychology such as Learning Science and Human Development, School Psychology, Instructional Design and Technology, or Disability Studies.
