Job Summary: |
The Regional Assistant Director of Admission, Operations is responsible for helping to design, implement, and evaluate Admission operations and systems at Miami University Regionals, the regional system of Miami University, a highly-regarded public university with a national reputation. Working with and reporting to the Regional Associate Director of Admission, Operations, this position will serve both the Hamilton and Middletown campuses in providing oversight and reporting for distinct Admission operation initiatives, formulating strategies, plans, and goals for Admission operations, systems, and performance; managing admission policies, procedures, and systems performance to achieve optimum enrollment targets. This position requires a flexible work schedule that includes some early evening and weekend hours during times of system implementation/upgrades/application decision periods and/or problem resolution as well as occasional University travel for vendor meetings and professional conferences.

Duties/Physical Demands: |
The Regional Assistant Director of Admission, Operations will facilitate the timely and accurate delivery of all recruitment, procedural and ad-hoc emails, text messages, and mailings to prospective students and applicants through a close partnership with Regional Admission Leadership; set up, maintain and monitor automated communications. Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and testing of Technolutions Slate database system as it relates to recruitment and application data and processes and online application review; routinely review product documentation and user forums for enhancements leading to increased functionality and automation of processes. Build queries, reports, dashboards, and widgets as needed for internal and external reporting, communication delivery, and data management. Create, maintain, utilize, and automate data imports (ad hoc and source formatted) to import data sources, including but not limited to - test scores, search name buys, model scoring files, college fair attendee files. Manage Office of Admission Request for Information form and all related communication. Assist with testing and management of Slate online student status page as it relates to decision release and content display. Performs a variety of complex to advanced administrative tasks which may include covering the office front desk, covering the call center, processing applications, executing bulk mailings, reviewing admission processes, and various financial and budgetary tasks. Maintain and improve application/forms, checklist, review, decision release, and confirmation process for special programs such as ELC, Nursing, etc. Assist with creation and management of staff assignment rules and other rules to automate processes within Slate. Create written training documentation for all processes related to Office of Admission business practices and present technical processes to staff in a clear, procedural manner. Assist with review and evaluation of records to ensure integrity of recruitment and application data within Slate; identify problem records, resolutions and training needs among staff to prevent issues. Work with vendors and other organizations as they pertain to online applications, applications fees/refunds, electronic transcripts, test scores, data management, mail processing and other areas. Support students, parents, and counselors as an informational resource on admission office policy and procedure.

Minimum Qualifications: |
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 1 year of full-time professional experience working in higher education, admissions, operations, marketing/sales, or closely related field or a master’s degree in higher education, business, operations or closely related field.

Desired Qualifications: |
Consideration may be given to candidates with a master's degree in higher education, business, operations, or closely related field; Experience in University/higher education setting; Experience with recruitment and admission data; Experience with Technolutions Slate and/or Ellucian Banner; Experience utilizing/managing operations and/or systems related functions; Ability to compile, analyze, summarize, and communicate data and reports; Experience working with relational databases, writing reports and/or queries using various tools; Experience with Microsoft Office and/or Google applications; Ability to perform complex data research to identify and correct data issues.
