Job Summary: |
This position supports all aspects of the Armstrong Student Center summer operation including information desk, building supervision and event support.
Work assignments require advanced knowledge, skills, or abilities. Some independent judgment or initiative. A considerable knowledge of the work process as obtained through on-the-job training. May involve supervisory responsibilities for an activity of limited scope. May require a significant amount of physical exertion, adverse hour, or working conditions.

Essential Duties: |
• Providing direction and information to students, faculty, staff and university guests • Assisting with building oversight after normal business hours • Working with full-time staff on special summer projects • Provide supervision to Red Zone gaming areas • Managing lost and found and study room reservations • Providing input into the development of Fall Student Staff Training • Working closely with Assistant Director for Operations to implement Orientation, Alumni Weekend, Summer Conferences and Weddings • Serving as a liaison to professional staff on duty after normal business hours • Serving as a liaison to catering staff during events with food service • Providing event, furniture and A/V set-up and tear down • Providing outstanding customer service to all users of the building and event attendees • Ensuring a safe and clean environment. This does involve some cleaning. • Leading in emergency situation response • Monitoring building use, locking and unlocking spaces as needed and reporting damage, custodial and maintenance issued • Conducting regular building rounds • Other assignments as needed to ensure smooth operation of the student center over the summer
